about

"Painting Halos" is an early collaboration between Thee Um and Motherhalo. Circa 2011. In this track Motherhalo provided the progressive drum work, which the created the rest you can hear here for yourself. One of our favorite tracks from the early Um. And this is an early version - first off the cuff take. All parts by Thee Um created in one take per instrument-track, all improvised on the spot. So coume and paint halos in the sky with Motherhalo & Thee Um.

Thee Uncondemning Monk creates soundwork as a psychick hygienic practice, as Art War, as avant-garde experimental fellow- traveler. Our work mixes acousticals such as guitar, hand drums, field recordings, cut-ups, fusing & slumping, electronic, all of which work within culture against the whole of culture.
